Umeko
Brand design project using Adobe Illustrator
Umeko is a fun, light-hearted Japanese style cafe which sources tea from Japan. They serve classic teas, as well as unique blends, and boba to cater to both younger and older aficionados. The pastel, calm aesthetic is inspired by the Japanese plum (ume) and blossom. Umeko means ‘plum child’ in Japanese and plum blossoms are associated with good fortune and health.
Elfster Redesign
Personal project using Figma
Redesign the Elfster gift exchange mobile app to be more user friendly, intuitive, and versatile. Elfster is an app that allows users to create wishlists and groups with friends to organize gift exchanges. When a group exchange is made, a user can create a wishlist which friends can see and order from. Essentially this app should allow friends to get purposeful gifts and to avoid duplicates.
Viasat Application
Frontend engineer at Viasat Inc. using JavaScript/TypeScript and React
Update the My Viasat application user interface to provide the most useful data to clients while simultaneously being intuitive and aesthetic. I worked on both frontend and backend tasks to achieve this, but leaned more into frontend. To name a few, as a team, we used React, TypeScript, and Redux for web and mobile development. This project was done during my time working at Viasat Inc. as a software engineer.
API Response Parser
Personal project using JavaScript, HTML/CSS
This API Response Parser was a side project to help me analyze JSON and XML API responses. Some APIs I was calling would return hundreds and hundred of lines of data and it was difficult for me to parse through them to find certain keys or specific data. This program is created to reduce manual searching within API responses.
COVID-19 Project
Senior design project with Isha Sharma and Tyler Schuldt
COVID-19 refers to the respiratory illness caused by the SARS-CoV-2 Virus. This basic Android app allows users to quickly record symptoms and contact emergency if necessary. This is an easy way to stay cognizant of your own health during the COVID-19 pandemic and promotes CDC social distancing guidelines. Within my group, I was responsible for project ideation, diagram creation, and software development and also assisted with general research.
